All her attempts fail, and when Zero tried to commit suicide, the Flower retaliated by birthing five sisters who were named One, Two, Three, Four, and Five. However, after learning of the Flower’s intentions and how it could bring destruction to the world, she tried to remove it from her eye to see if she could kill it. After her rebirth, the girl threw away her old name and started calling herself Zero. By implanting itself in the girl’s eye, the girl was brought back to life and she gained the power of Song. The Flower gained power by latching on to a young sex worker who was on the brink of death. The story of Drakengard and NieR starts with this Flower. Either way, the important thing to take away here is the fact that the Flower is evil, and it wants to destroy the world. No one is really sure where the Flower actually came from or what it is exactly, except that it has to be the product of some form of black magic.
